I would be happy to share how these two came to be together if any would like to know.
For some explination behind the Silmar family. It's a Werewolf: the Apocalypse setting. The Litany states that "Garou must not mate with Garou." The family is based on these presumptions: 1) The Weaver, Wyrm and Wyld are the forces of Creation. 2) Gods can/do/have existed over the course of history. 3) Some members of the Get of Fenris claim to trace their liniage back to the great wolf himself, Cairan (the father) is one who does.
As the story goes; Loki, being drunk and terribly bored one holiday season, decided to play a prank on some of his descendents... a survival game. He altered their Homid (human) forms to partially reflect their Lupine (wolf) heritage, and sat back to watch the chaos ensue. A week and a half later, after the blood-stained snow had cooled, the hand full of surviving Garou were granted gifts for the entertainment provided to the Norse god and sent on their merry way to continue their now haunted lives... though Loki never did take the anthropomorphic parts back.
Because those are two very different things.
