Skypirate Pan by GarthFT Skypirate Pan by GarthFT
I can't even begin to describe the trouble this piece gave me. I do it to myself, really. Crazy perspectives. Airships, which really should NOT be allowed to be that difficult to draw. To having to learn a whole new technique to get the water looking halfway decent. Thanks by the way to ~HaydenM for posting the water tutorial. I found it quite useful.

Much more vibrant and warm hued than I usually do, but as it's Neverland, I feel that suitable.

I like how there's a clear element of technology to the setting here which nevertheless doesn't make it any less fantastical.

I love this idea for Peter Pan! It turned out really well, especially Peter and Tink's glow.

"Hmmm, we don't get enough lift from the gas envelopes to carry a worthwhile load... I know! Let's attach giant propellers to the side of the ship to generate extra lift!"

"Uh, captain? Beggin' yer pardon, sir, but wouldn't it be much easier to just abandon the whole lighter-than-air method of flight as a dead end and just pursue aircraft powered by engines with a high enough power-to-weight ratio to carry their own weight in addition to a viable commercial load?"

*BLAM* "Right, anyone else want to introduce sensible, rational ideas into a fantasy comic? ANYONE?"

"I'm... not dead yet..."

Sorry, I just saw that airship's props and it popped out of my head.

I do like this picture a lot, though. Warmer colors combined with your usual style gives it a flair and pop that feels special.

I just love your art. It's so sentimental to me, and you always use these wonderful colors to really make your images so vibrant and alive. It's like they're going to step right out of the picture and fly out of my laptop they look so alive.
